Day 1

Paris Rouen Arromanches Caen

Our journey begins early in the morning in the magical city of Paris, bound for the historic region of Normandy.

Our first stop will be Giverny, home to Claude Monet and his breathtaking gardens, the very inspiration for Impressionist art. We then continue to Rouen, Normandy’s captivating capital, with its charming medieval streets and majestic cathedral. You will have free time to enjoy lunch and explore at your own pace.

In the afternoon, we head to Arromanches, where the beaches hold moving stories of the D-Day landings during World War II. Our day concludes in Caen, where you can enjoy a stroll through its delightful historic center.

Note: From November to March, Monet’s house is closed and the stop in Giverny will be omitted.

day 2

Caen Mont Saint-Michel Saint-Malo Dinan Rennes

In the morning, we will head to the iconic Mont Saint-Michel, known as “the wonder”, where you can explore this unique city surrounded by the sea and crowned by its stunning abbey.

We will then continue into the Brittany region to visit Saint-Malo, the famous walled city, where you will have free time for lunch and to stroll through its charming streets.

Next, we’ll visit Dinan, a picturesque Breton town with medieval architecture, perfect for a leisurely walk. Our day concludes in Rennes, Brittany’s vibrant capital, boasting a rich history, cultural heritage, and an impressive historic center.

day 3

Rennes Angers Tours Villandry Amboise

Today we will travel to Angers, where you may choose to visit its impressive castle, renowned for housing the world’s largest medieval tapestry, depicting the Apocalypse.

We will then continue to the picturesque Touraine region in the heart of the Loire Valley, visiting Tours, the regional capital, with free time for lunch and a leisurely stroll through its charming historic center.

Later, we will visit the Palace and Gardens of Villandry, celebrated for their exceptional design and colorful flowers that captivate from the very entrance.

We will end the day in Amboise, a town on the banks of the Loire River with an evocative medieval quarter. Dinner included. Overnight stay.

day 4

Amboise Chenonceau Chambord Limoges

We begin the day in the heart of the Loire Valley with a stroll through Amboise and its castle, as well as the Clos Lucé mansion, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years.

Our itinerary includes a visit to the majestic Château de Chenonceau, one of the most iconic in the region, renowned for its elegant design that stretches like a bridge across the River Cher.

We then continue to Chambord, the largest of the Loire castles, where entry to its vast park is also included, providing a stunning setting for this architectural masterpiece.

In the afternoon, we head to Limoges, the departmental capital world-famous for its porcelain. You will have time to wander through its monumental center and visit the Cathedral of Saint Stephen.

Day 5

Limoges Sarlat Beynac et Cazenac Rocamadour

We leave Limoges for the Dordogne region, a land of charming villages and unforgettable landscapes.

Our first stop will be in Lascaux, where admission to the museum and the replica caves is included, offering you the chance to explore prehistory and admire its masterful cave paintings.

We then head to Sarlat, a Renaissance gem and UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasting one of the best-preserved historic centers in the world. You’ll have free time to enjoy lunch and wander its picturesque streets.

Next, we’ll make a brief stop in Beynac to visit its striking riverside castle, with entrance included.

We end the day in Rocamadour, a stunning medieval village with a remarkable sanctuary “hanging” from the rock above the gorge. We recommend walking down via the Stations of the Cross and taking the elevator back up. Dinner included.

Day 6

Rocamadour Padirac Collonges-la-Rouge Saint-Émilion Bordeaux

We begin the day with a visit to the impressive Padirac Caves, where you will take a boat ride 75 meters below ground.

We then head to Collonges-la-Rouge, a charming village along the Camino de Santiago, renowned for its striking red-stone buildings. You’ll have free time for lunch and to stroll through its delightful streets.

Next, we travel to Saint-Émilion, at the heart of Bordeaux’s wine region, where you can wander and soak in the local atmosphere.

We will arrive in Bordeaux by late afternoon.

Note: From November to late March, or in the event of bad weather, the Padirac Caves may be closed.

day 7

Bordeaux Lourdes

We begin the day exploring the heart of Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage city. You’ll be captivated by the famous “Water Mirror” and enjoy a walking tour through its charming old town, with pedestrian streets and the magnificent 11th-century cathedral.

Your visit includes entry to La Cité du Vin, an impressive interactive museum that showcases the history and art of winemaking, ending with a wine tasting at its panoramic rooftop viewpoint.

You will have free time to stroll and enjoy lunch along the Garonne River, lined with inviting small restaurants.

In the afternoon, we will head towards the Pyrenees, arriving in Lourdes. Here, you will have the chance to visit the sanctuary and, if you wish, attend the moving candlelight procession.
Dinner included.

Day 8

Lourdes Carcassonne Narbonne Marseille

Today we embark on a captivating journey through the south of France, brimming with history, culture, and breathtaking scenery.

Our first stop is Carcassonne, a fairytale city surrounded by the most extensive medieval walls in Europe. You’ll have time to wander its cobblestone streets and soak in its magical atmosphere.

After a delicious lunch, we continue to Narbonne, where you can explore its charming historic center and uncover the rich heritage of this Occitan city.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Marseille, France’s second most vibrant city. We suggest an evening stroll along the famous Vieux Port, the lively old harbor lined with terraces and small restaurants serving authentic local delicacies.

day 9

Marseille Arles Avignon Lyon

Get ready for an unforgettable day exploring the enchanting region of Provence, with its unique landscapes and exceptional cultural heritage.

Our first stop will be Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage city that takes you back to Roman and medieval times, and the place that inspired many of Van Gogh’s masterpieces. We will then head to Les Baux, a picturesque medieval village, where you’ll enjoy the breathtaking immersive art, image, and sound experience at Carrières de Lumières.

Next, we arrive in Avignon for lunch and a visit to the majestic Papal Palace, a true gem of Gothic architecture.

Finally, we continue to Lyon for a walking tour of its charming old town, followed by a funicular ride up to the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière, offering stunning panoramic views of the city.

Note: In case of closure or limited access to Carrières de Lumières, this visit will be replaced by a trip to the Pont du Gard, a magnificent Roman aqueduct.

Day 10

Lyon Tournus Savigny Castle Beaune Dijon

Today we explore Burgundy, a paradise for wine lovers and history enthusiasts.

Our first stop will be Tournus, a charming town known for its majestic abbey and iconic grand gate. We will then continue to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch, stroll its picturesque streets, and, if you wish, visit the Wine Museum or the famous Hospices de Beaune, a true architectural gem.

Next, we visit Savigny Castle, a fascinating 15th-century fortress that houses extraordinary collections, from classic motorcycles to historic aircraft.

We will end the day in Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, where you can wander its lively streets and admire its impressive urban ensemble, rich with medieval and Renaissance palaces, including the magnificent Palace of the Dukes.

day 11

Dijon Fontenay Abbey Semur-en-Auxois Vézelay Paris

We begin the day traveling to Fontenay Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where admission is included to explore this magnificent Cistercian complex surrounded by nature.

Our journey continues to Semur-en-Auxois, a charming walled medieval town that will transport you back in time.

Still within Burgundy, we will visit Vézelay, considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. Here, we’ll discover its impressive basilica, historically one of the departure points for the Camino de Santiago.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Paris to enjoy the unmatched atmosphere of the City of Light.

Day 12

Paris
